Candice and Eric chose the right day for an indoor ceremony at the beautiful Wyndham Grand Hotel- Pittsburgh. This choice kept them warm and dry as the rain and cold moved in on their wedding day.
Candice, along with her bridesmaids, was having too much fun sipping champagne and munching on pizza to be bothered by the weather.
Eric was a few floors away recovering from a late night out while getting into wedding mode! Candice had love all around her, as her bridesmaids and her mother spent the hours prior to the ceremony having a great time enjoying the ballroom preparations and telling stories. Eric, a die hard Philadelphia Phillies fan, laughed at the irony of their wedding day coinciding with the Phils playoff opener the same evening. Constant score updates from his groomsmen would be a must.
Candice and her father Ira shared a special moment once he saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. The day just became more emotional from there.
As the first pitch in the Phillies game crossed the plate, Eric was preparing the meet his bride at the center of the aisle. Smiles, tears and cameras dominated the moments of the ceremony which seemed to rush by in a flash. Before they knew it, Candice and Eric were being hugged en masse in the Wyndham’s hallway.
The weather gods did smile on the newly married couple that evening as they cleared the rain briefly, in time for us to capture a few outdoor portraits.
The first dances captivated everyone’s attention at the reception and the party flew on from there. Candice’s sister nailed her speech and Eric’s best man had everyone laughing for his, (which I suspected would be the case while watching him review his words in the mens bathroom!)
The reception ended in the most energetic fashion, with Hava Nagila closing the night as Candice, Eric, their parents and some groomsmen were lifted to the chandelier at the Wyndham in celebration to close the night. It was an incredible evening and we are so thrilled for both of you! Congratulations Candice and Eric!
