The Springwood Conference Center is where Kasey and David were married and they couldn’t have chosen a more perfect afternoon to have an outdoor wedding. Kasey began the day getting her hair perfected at Studio Booth before heading over to Springwood to get ready and for all of the finishing touches. David and the guys got to the venue and wasted little time getting dressed while keeping a close eye on the score of the Nebraska- Wisconsin game which had everyone’s attention! Without trying, Kasey’s niece and nephews almost stole the show. Their cuteness drew tons of attention from everyone, including Kasey and her sister, who were giving kisses and hugs and chance they could get. As the ceremony was set to begin, David had such a great look on his face waiting for his bride to meet him at the end of the aisle. The ceremony was certainly an original. Kasey and David chose a list of seven words to describe marriage and chose friends and family to speak about each of the words during the ceremony. It brought a tremendous amount of tears and laughter, especially when one of Kasey’s childhood friends brought her guitar and wrote a song for them!
As the ceremony ended and Kasey and David gathered with their bridal party and parents for hugs and the occasional tear, I caught a familiar face out of the corner of my eye, a member of the bridal party whom I hadn’t met yet. As he gave Kasey a kiss of the cheek to congratulate her, it was easy to recognize Apolo Ohno, the Olympic Gold Medalist and Dancing with the Stars Champion! Apolo and David are very close friends and he was one of his groomsman! D.J. Scott Alexander, who we love working with, did a marvelous job getting the party going and keeping it rocking until the very end! The reception was highlighted by David’s had a extremely sweet dance with his grandmother and Kasey and David’s final dance with their friends and family all around them. Congratulations Kasey and David, we are so happy for you both!!
