Jodi and John were married at the barn at Fallingwater on a beautiful summer evening. America’s most famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, built the home for one of his clients and it was completed in 1939. It is a spectacular building and we were allowed to roam the house a bit for some photographs after their wedding ceremony. John was the first to Fallingwater, and spent the time quietly shining his shoes and taking everything in. Jodi arrived to view the set up at the barn and was immediately excited as she saw their wedding cake and all of he set up coming to fruition. Jodi spent the early afternoon with her sisters, nieces and her mother as they toured the site and did their best to keep in their excitement. The ceremony, which was held in a secluded, wooded area beside the barn, turned out to be more emotional that it was even expected. While walking down the aisle and scanning the friends and family gathered, Jodi noticed the parents of her best friend growing up. The originally were not going to be at the wedding and her friend was sick and also couldn’t come. The parents changed their plans and made the trip which was entirely unexpected, and Jodi’s reaction was priceless! This was just one of the heart tugging as well as hysterical moments of their day, like John trying to feed Jodi their first piece of cake and dropping a piece down her dress! Jodi and John were an absolute pleasure to work with and we are so excited to share their wedding story! Congratulations Jodi and John!
