Kristen and Robert were married at St. Philip Church in Crafton with their reception held at The Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe. Elizabeth met Kristen at Sergio’s Style in Dormont, where she got her hair perfected along with her bridesmaids. Champagne, Mimosas and plenty of laughter combined to make the trip to the salon a memorable one! Robert, along with his twin brother Richard, got ready at their parents home. They both played football for Cal U and most of Robert’s groomsmen were football teammates as well. Robert and Richard have an extremely close relationship and a competitive one as well. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette did a story on their family nearly ten years ago, which is framed on the wall with a photograph of the brothers battling in other in a game of basketball. As I photographed the article, Richard walked by and whispered to me that he won that game. Later, Robert told me that he schooled his brother in that battle.
Their ceremony was at St. Philip Church, and to say it was warm in the church would be a serious understatement! It didn’t phase Kristen or Robert one bit. Neither stopped smiling when they looked towards each other and it went by in a flash. Heading over to Southpointe after the formal portraits, we stopped to do a few more by the waterfall before going to the reception. The bridal party introductions were classic, leading up to Kristen and Roberts first appearance as husband and wife! They began the party with all eyes on them for their first dance and speeches from Richard, his twin. With a wonderfully exaggerated description, he described their first moments together when they met and their journey from there to now. The party rocked on from there, with the John Parker Band doing a fantastic job of keeping the guests dancing throughout. The night was highlighted by several moments, including Kristen being lifted unexpectedly on a chair in the middle of the dance floor and an emotional final hug and dance from her Maid of Honor Jessica. It was a spectacular wedding and Elizabeth I I were so thrilled to be a part of it. Congratulations Kristen and Robert on your wonderful new life together!
